First of many

conorcnorris

The first half of the season has been a whirlwind of excitement. We were lucky to have Vaunted out early in the season as she was showing plenty at home and had impressed Clive.

We headed to Bath racecourse on the 16th of April for the 5f Whitsbury Winners EBF Restricted Novice Stakes (GBB bonus). After a sharp break Vaunted tracked the leaders from a wide draw before racing past the front runners under a hands and heels ride to win by 1 3/4 lengths. The perfect start for a small syndicate like us and the most lovely introduction given by our jockey Liam Keniry.

In behind us that day was subsequent winner and smart juvenile Mercurial so the from has been franked.

We then headed to a conditions race at Salisbury on May 2nd where Vaunted finished 5th in a hotly contested field and with a few things against her. Most recently we went back to Bath in the hopes she might enjoy the track but the ground was slightly too firm and she struggled to quicken after traveling so well, however we have a nice official rating of 76 and we look forward to targeting nursery's in the second half of the season with a possibility of stepping her up in trip.
