Golden Horn ex Sylvia Plath

Trainer: Marco Botti
2yo | Filly | Bay

This filly might potentially be one of the best-looking yearlings we have ever managed to get our hands on for Keep Kicking Racing. She has fantastic shape, balance and substance. She is by Derby winner and greatest horse of his generation, Golden Horn and out of Poets Voice mare Sylvia Plath. She is from the immediate family of Japanese winners Delicatessen and Griezmann.

Poets Voice, as a broodmare sire, is responsible for 41% runners to winners, including Group 1 performer My Whisper. This cross has never been tried before, but looking at the quality of this filly, we are hopeful it will be a success.

One of the main selling points for buying this yearling is that she qualifies for the GBB+ Bonus scheme. This means that if we can win a maiden with her, we can win a share of a £40,000 bonus. She likely won’t be early, but with over 3000 GBB bonus races a year, we should have plenty of options when she comes to hand.

This yearling will be broken in over the next month before being sent away for a short holiday and commencing full training in the new year. She will be trained in Newmarket by Marco Botti.

Dam: Golden Horn
